We raise Muskovy ducks for both meat and eggs, and both Certified Organic or organically raised Boer goats and Katahdin sheep for high-quality, tender meat. Our goal is to raise livestock in a humane and ecologically sustainable manner and add diversity to our farming practices while supporting biodynamic principles.

Livestock and Hay

Here is what you need to know: USDA Certified Organic, organically raised, naturally grown, and no spray products differ. Read on.

USDA Certified Organic products must pass a rigorous certification process, ensuring that farming practices comply with the National Organics Program (NOP). The NOP specifies the materials and practices that must be followed to obtain certification (such as synthetic chemical-free applications and conservation practices). Annual inspections ensure such compliance.

Organically raised, naturally grown and no spray products may or may not follow the same or similar wholesome and synthetic chemical-free practices. We encourage you to ask farmers how their products are grown/raised.

Sublime Organics offers high-quality meats that are either USDA Certified Organic or organically raised. Our USDA Certified Organic and organically raised livestock graze side-by-side on USDA Certified Organic pasture grass and are fed USDA Certified Organic hay and GMO-free grains. None of our livestock receive growth hormones. Organically raised livestock received one or more medications to treat illness during their lifetime. If those medications were not specified in the NOP, those animals do not qualify as USDA Certified Organic.

All of our livestock have been certified Animal Welfare Approved (AWA). An AWA certification by A Greener World, guarantees animals are raised outdoors on pasture or range for their entire lives on an independent farm using truly sustainable, high-welfare farming practices. Annual inspections ensure compliance.
