Habitat Conservation

We protect our wetlands and native prairie habitat in partnership with U.S. Department of Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. Together we are conserving and restoring habitats-at-risk.
Bradshaw's desert parsley (Lomatium bradshawii), is a rare perennial plant that occurs on our farm. Sublime Organics Farm is one of only two known populations in Marion County. In 2021, the US Fish and Wildlife Service declared Bradshaw's desert parsley recovered from its endangered status under the Endangered Species Act!
Weed control (scotch broom, tansy ragwort, thistle) is a constant activity on our farm. Because we do not use herbicides, pulling tenacious weeds by hand keeps us busy.
